Section 2: Your First Week With ChatGPT — Day by Day

Day 1: Set up and try one task

  • Create your free account at chat.openai.com or claude.ai
  • Pick one task from the list above — the follow-up email is the easiest starting point
  • Run the prompt. Read the result. Edit and use it.
  • Time investment: 20 minutes

Day 2: Try the refine workflow

  • Take yesterday’s prompt and run it again
  • After you get the first output, type: “Make it shorter” or “Make the tone warmer”
  • See how it changes — this is the real power of AI
  • Time investment: 10 minutes

Day 3: Batch your social posts

  • Use Task 3 above to write your week of social posts in one session
  • Review, pick the best ones, schedule them
  • Time investment: 20–30 minutes

Day 4: Build your FAQ bank

  • Use Task 4 to write answers to your 5 most common customer questions
  • Save them in a Google Doc labelled “FAQ Replies”
  • Copy-paste from this doc when the question comes in
  • Time investment: 30 minutes

Day 5: Save your best prompts

  • Open a Google Doc labelled “My AI Prompts”
  • Copy in every prompt that worked this week
  • Add a note about what it’s for
  • This is the beginning of your prompt library — the thing that makes AI work faster every week
  • Time investment: 10 minutes

Weekend: Free session

  • Try one task you haven’t done yet
  • Or revisit one from earlier in the week and improve the prompt
  • There are no wrong moves here — every attempt teaches you something
